For authors

Pitch a practical book with a clear reader.

Echo Enterprise is beginning conversations with authors of useful business, leadership, management, teamwork, and delivery books.

A person writing notes beside an open book in a library.

Start small. Make the fit clear.

A concise email is easier to assess than an unsolicited manuscript. If the idea appears to fit, we will ask for the next level of detail.

  1. Check the fit

    Review the current focus and make sure your book serves a specific business reader.

  2. Send a pitch

    Email a short hook, intended reader, author background, and manuscript status.

  3. Editorial review

    We consider reader fit, distinctiveness, credibility, and the work still required.

  4. Conversation

    If there may be a fit, we will discuss the book, collaboration, and expectations.

  5. Proposal

    Any publishing arrangement begins only after both sides review and agree on written terms.

Tell us enough to understand the book.

Please include:

  • a one- or two-sentence hook;
  • the intended reader and the situation the book helps them navigate;
  • why you are well placed to write it;
  • its current status and approximate planned word count;
  • two or three comparable books and what yours adds;
  • any existing audience or professional routes to readers.

Keep the first contact simple

Please do not attach a complete manuscript to the first email. If we would like to read a proposal or sample chapters, we will request them. We cannot promise a review timetable or publication, and sending a pitch does not create a confidential, editorial, or publishing relationship.
